A Place Where Art Education is Discussed and Explored!Make it a Banner Spring!
One of last year's Festival of Banners artists working in our studio to paint her banner.
This year’s Festival of Banners theme is, “Pop on Parade!” Small scale banner designs must be submitted to the SBMA by April 27, 2012; designs are then judged on the adult, teen and youth levels. The artists of selected designs will then be invited to our own SBMA studios to paint their full-size banner, and the banners will be on display from August to October in Downtown South Bend.
Artists whose work is chosen for public display will also be eligible for the following prizes, to be awarded by our committee of jurors:
Jurors’ Choice Awards
3 categories: youth, teen, & adult:
1st Place: $100 cash, 1 year SBMA membership, 1 free art class
2nd Place: $50 gift card ; 1 year SBMA membership, 1 free art class
3rd Place: $25 gift card 1 year SBMA membership, 1 free art class
